Unintended consequences strikes again

The recent consternation about the vaunted COX-2 inhibitor drugs not only shows the side effects in the press but what some others were. The drug companies had produced a drug to attack inflamattion that actually attacked some of the bodies own defense mechanism against inflamattion. Did they know before they sold? Hmmmm ... the dates of knowledge of these mechanisms pre-dates the release of the drugs.

We are what we eat.

Food and liquid are the fuel and lubrication of this body machine we live in. Taking care of this body is equally as important as taking care of a cherished automobile. However there is no easy dipstick or dashboard lighted display to follow. It is your job to learn how to care for this machine of life. The "sickness"care system will attempt to fix anything you break but some things cannot be "fixed" and many little "breaks" can add up to "no fix" or even to DEATH!

Unfortunately there is no "reward" for taking good care of your body machine except "good health" and "happiness". Those "rewards" may be too intangible in today's money oriented society for you to accept as payment for good care for this body machine.
